How does the support group work?
SALGA NYC’s peer support group is a confidential, safe space for self-empowerment of individuals who identify as South Asian and Queer. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 4.00pm to 6.00pm at the LGBT Center of New York City. This is a peer-facilitated group, led by individuals who have been trained to lead support group discussions. Facilitators are not mental health professionals and are not qualified to give medical advice and/or crisis counseling. No prior appointment is necessary to attend.
